Tour Overview
This carefully structured women's special Ayodhya-Varanasi tour covers the most revered spiritual sites across Uttar Pradesh in a compact five-day format designed for women travellers seeking the comfort of a group pilgrimage.
The tour begins in Ayodhya at the newly consecrated Ram Mandir complex, extends to the birthplace of Bhagwan Swaminarayan at Chhapaiya, pauses at the sacred confluence in Prayagraj, and closes along the ghats of Varanasi, where the Ganga aarti anchors the evening. Intercity drives are structured around early departures to protect the evening rituals, and final-mile movement around restricted temple zones is handled by e-rickshaws. The 5-day women special Ayodhya-Varanasi itinerary requires moderate walking through temple precincts and narrow lanes, offering an authentic pilgrimage experience without the pace pressure of longer circuits.
Important Advisory: Due to strict vehicle entry restrictions in the areas surrounding major temples in Ayodhya, guests must travel to and from the temples using e-rickshaws or other local transport. This transit from the hotel or parking area is at the guest's own expense or can be arranged on a chargeable basis. The cost of this local transportation is not included in the tour price, and no claims regarding this expense will be entertained.

Detailed Itinerary
Upon arrival at Ayodhya airport, guests will be picked up and transferred to the city to begin the pilgrimage. The day is dedicated to the prominent local shrines, starting with Shri Ram Janmabhoomi darshan. The circuit continues with visits to Hanuman Garhi, Dashrath Mahal, and Kanak Bhavan before returning to the accommodation for an overnight stay in Ayodhya.
The morning begins with a departure from central Ayodhya to visit the Chhapaiya Swaminarayan Temple, the officially recognised birthplace of Bhagwan Shri Swaminarayan. After completing the darshan, the group returns to Ayodhya. Following an afternoon break for lunch and rest, the evening features a visit to the riverbank to witness the divine Saryu Ghat Aarti, along with a stop at the prominent Lata Mangeshkar Chowk. Guests will spend a second night in Ayodhya. Travel to and from these sightseeing locations will again be via e-rickshaw at the guest's own expense.
The group departs Ayodhya early after breakfast and proceeds towards Prayagraj. Due to travel time, guests will need to arrange their own lunch and refreshments at a highway dhaba or restaurant en route. Upon reaching Prayagraj, travellers can take a Triveni Sangam boat ride (at their own expense or arranged on a chargeable basis) to view the confluence of the rivers. This is followed by darshan at the Bade Hanumanji Temple.
The journey then continues to Varanasi. Guests must arrive at Raja Ghat or Ravidas Ghat by 4:00 PM to board a boat for the evening. From the water, travellers will experience a boat ride on the Ganga (at their own expense) and witness the magnificent Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat directly from the vessel. The day concludes with an overnight stay in Varanasi. E-rickshaws for sightseeing transit will be at the guest's expense.
The day begins pre-dawn with the highly anticipated Kashi Vishwanath Temple darshan, followed immediately by a visit to the Kal Bhairav Temple. For a streamlined experience, it is highly advised that guests register online for sugam darshan at shrikashivishwanath.org at least 15 days in advance. This fast-track registration requires a fee of ₹300 per person.
Guests return to the hotel mid-morning for a combined breakfast and lunch. Afterwards, e-rickshaws (at the guest's own expense) will be used to complete a wider temple circuit including the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple, Mata Temple, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas Temple, Birla Temple, and Mahaprabhuji Bethak. The remaining afternoon is reserved for local sightseeing and Banarasi silk shopping, offering time to purchase authentic sarees, kurtas, and local items before a final overnight stay in Varanasi.
Following breakfast at the hotel, guests will complete the check-out process. The group will then depart for the Varanasi airport or railway station for their onwards journeys, marking the conclusion of the women's special Ayodhya-Varanasi tour.
